The End: A place of reward..

There were two guys named Philip and Jack.

Philip was hardworking, he was always seen studying, he never joked with his studies, while other students played, Philip takes his books to the library to read. Philip was praised by his teachers, he was used as a topic of inspiration to others, he was always being used as an example of a diligent, focused and serious minded student.

Jack on the other hand was always seen with his ear piece, plugged in his ears. His teachers mocked him, called him useless and was said would never make his Waec exams. Jack didn’t allow their opinion affect him, he continued living his life for the best of himself.

Few weeks to the exam, Philip stopped studying, he thought to himself that he was ready and was sure to make his papers, but he was still seen carrying his books to the library and different laboratories and when he gets there he’ll just sit and fix his gaze on his books till he falls asleep. He continued this till the day of the exam.

Jack on the other hand as usual was on his ear piece, to others he was listening to music but to himself,he knew he was listening to the recordings of what he had studied overnight.

The exams came and the end was drawing near, the end which could tell who’d smile or weep.

Philip was confident, even his teachers and fellow students were sure he’d make his papers, they all acted like they saw the end, Jack on the other hand was ridiculed, they told him to weep because he was going to fail wolfily, he only smiled and remained silent. He was like a rejected stone, but would he become the chief corner stone?

Only the end has an answer to that question.

And then the end came, just like electricity everyone was shocked at what they saw at the end. Philip failed badly and Jack was the best amongst all the students who wrote Waec that year.

Lesson: don’t predict anyone’s end, if you believe you’re going to have a happy ending take heed lest you have a worse ending. The rejected stone will always be the cheif corner stone.
